Let’s face it. I’m no mixologist. I had never even heard of vanilla vodka until 3 months ago. I am terrible with liquor and am just really beginning to understand my way around wine. So when I was thinking of a possible cocktail named The Great Gatsby I knew someone, somewhere had to have already created it. I mean SURELY some bartender out there is just as obsessed with the novel and upcoming movie as I am. Right? Right! Because I found it! Muh hahahahahahaha!
Thank you Highlands Bar & Grill for making this beverage and an even a bigger kudos for making it with one of the worlds tastiest white wine hybrids – Lillet Blanc. You’ve rocked my world.
The Great Gatsby
- 1 ounce vodka such as Ketel One

- 2 1/2 ounces freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
- Garnish: orange slice
