Our wine tour in Tuscany: Chianti Classico

So after 10 months of sitting on photos and trying to make the time to write this, I am FINALLY going to write about our wine tasting tour in Tuscany. Markham Vineyards | St. Helena, CA

Markham is by far one of our favorite wine producers so we were SO EXCITED to go to their facility for the first time. The tasting room is cool and contemporary with a beautiful koi pond outside. They also happened to have a photography display of Rolling Stone covers taken by famed photographer, Baron Wolman. As two photographers, we were certainly in heaven tasting wine and looking at the gallery display.

Castello di Amorosa: The castle of love and wine in Calistoga, CA

Boasting 107 rooms covering 121,000 square feet on 170 acres, this castle makes it impossible to get bored. It even has a moat, drawbridge, great hall, chapel and torture chambers (rest assured nobody has actually been held or tortured.) The castle officially opened it’s doors in 2007 and has been flooded with mystified visitors ever since.

Although it’s dubbed the “smallest tasting room in the world”, Carhartt should [carharttlogo] also be dubbed the “coolest tasting room in the world”. With only standing room for four (comfortably), they make you feel like you’re at home and hanging out at someone’s wine bar in their kitchen. If you’re looking for an authentic country wine experience, this is the one for you!
