The answer to that is “neither” and “both” I suppose. Truffles are a fungus that grow in the earth in forested areas; Usually in the shade near trees. They can be found most dominantly in Europe and the Middle East. They are especially famous in France and Italy. The...
I suppose I love it because it takes me back to that moment 5 years ago. I remember explicitly sitting on the stone steps of the Kunjapuri Devi temple at the top of a foothill at the base of the Himalayas in Rishikesh. It was a four mile hike up the mountain side, and I was resting before I climbed what seemed like a never ending stairway to the worship site.
I’ve had this hibiscus shrub in a pot for over a year. I feel terrible for not planting it, but I have some sort of connection with this shrub/bush. I can’t bring myself to plant it in the ground because I don’t have the heart to up-root it when we move. Given the fact that we’re renters, I want it to be as mobile as possible. I’m going to bring this plant with me whenever I go until we decide to plant roots of our own and buy a house. Until then, I watch it go through struggle and blossom as it tries to break out of it’s pot.
I decided to compile a list of 5 easy ways ANYONE can help depending on your life situation. While some can help by giving monthly donations, others can’t. Choosing to do any one of the following is a fantastic way to help the animal community and make a positive change in an animal’s life.
I’m love love lovin’ on my wine shipment from Artiste Winery in Los Olivos! This is our first official shipment as a wine club member since we joined. It was like an early Christmas today when the package arrived and there were five bottles of wine and two Giclée artworks in our...
I really wanted to make this experience as true as possible. After many hours of research online and bombarding my friends with questions, I came up with an evening for Terri and I to attempt to transport us to Italia; A land so rich in history, food and art how could anyone not want to be there?!
Would you believe I spent three weeks in Jamaica, and I don’t have a single photo of any of it? That’s pretty bad. I literally have ZERO photos of other places such as Quebec, British Columbia, Puerto Rico, Australia, and Spain. I have MAYBE 2-3 photos (maximum) of London even though I’ve been there four times and only one photo of my week in Taiwan. WTH was wrong with me? LOL Thank goodness I took boat loads of pictures in India.
So last night I hosted myself a french inspired evening while Terri was away working. I thought it would not only give me something to do but also let me watch a french movie I had been wanting to see. I also wanted to do a test run on a french dish I’ve been looking to cook but have been scared to death to try.
I am a HUGE advocate on homemade dog food. I’ve fed my girls homemade food for the majority of their lives. I started when they were around 6 months old, and they’re both now currently 9-10 years old. Even though I’ve feed them some dry kibble over the past couple of years for convenience purposes, I’m returning back to the homemade stuff because of their advancing ages. I want to keep them as healthy as possible and making their food at home is the best way to do that – in my opinion.
I am constantly amazed at how much my life has changed over the past few years. Especially when I get together with people that were part of my life during the “crazy” years, and we can reminisce together (A.K.A. bitch about) all the insanity that we all use to deal with. I was in a...
