Beautiful Art and Wine Shipment from Artiste

November 14, 2012

I’m love love lovin’ on my wine shipment from Artiste Winery in Los Olivos!

This is our first official shipment as a wine club member since we joined. It was like an early Christmas today when the package arrived and there were five bottles of wine and two Giclée artworks in our box!

The wine bottles alone are pieces of art as they each feature a different work from a local artist. The wines are also aptly named after the artwork featured on the label. We plan on saving all of these and having either a custom chandelier or candle holders made from them. =)

The great thing about Artiste Winery is their creative blends. One of the wines, Natalie, contains a blend of Petit Syrah, Zinfandel and Primitivo. Another wine, Luscious Harvest (the bottle with the cherry art) is a blend of Merlot and Grenache. You also have to love that their award winners also have an autograph from the artist!

I am a HUGE fan of wine blends because I believe wine is like art – it takes many colors to create an overall masterpiece. It’s also the reason why French wines such as Bordeaux’s are so infamous (in addition to the fact that the French really know how to work a wine.)

If you’re a fan of art and an even bigger fan of wine, pay a visit to their website at www.artiste.com. Not only do they sell their wines online but you can also check out their featred artists and inquire about their individual work. I am personal fan of Daniel Bayless. His work is simply stunning.

Cheers everyone!

What an amazing combo! My favorite pass time is to drink wine and paint with water colors. My most inspired art comes from wine! I’ll definitely check them out! (nice photos btw!)
